Sources

Where every number comes from.

Each material value on this site links to registered evidence with a publisher, an effective date, a retrieval date, and an evidence tier. This page explains the categories and the boundaries.

Two dates, always

The effective date is when a source says a fact was true: the trading day of a close, the record date of a filing. The retrieval date is when our pipeline last checked it. A filing checked today can still describe ownership from months ago, and profiles show both dates so that difference is never hidden.

The tier system

  1. Tier 1, direct primary evidence: regulatory ownership filings, audited annual reports, official issuer and transaction documents, licensed market closes, official central-bank exchange rates.
  2. Tier 2, official or strongly corroborated evidence: company and investor announcements, audited private accounts, public fund marks with documented methodology, or multiple independent primary records that jointly establish a fact.
  3. Tier 3, transparent modeling or reputable secondary evidence: named comparable-company or comparable-transaction models with licensed inputs, and reporting that identifies its sources and can be materially corroborated.
  4. Tier 4, unsupported assumption: excluded from every base estimate. It can be mentioned only as a labeled limitation or scenario.

Why some sources are never copied

Net Worth Leader builds its own estimates. Commercial rich lists are research references at most: their terms prohibit scraping, automated collection, database incorporation, and republication, and this project does not do any of those things. A publisher article can be a discovery lead, but the estimate follows the trail to the underlying filing, announcement, or document, and secondary evidence is graded accordingly.

Market data and exchange rates

Daily closing prices come from a public chart endpoint of Yahoo Finance by default, with Twelve Data as an optional keyed provider; the active provider is recorded in the status file and cited on every priced component. Only normalized closes with provenance are retained, never raw responses, and the provider terms remain under review as a launch requirement. Access to a price is not the same as the right to publish a fortune derived from it, which is why the provider is credited centrally here. Exchange rates use European Central Bank euro reference rates with attribution; the values calculated from them are derived values computed by Net Worth Leader, not ECB statistics.

Registry summary

The registry currently holds 72 source records. Raw licensed data is never redistributed; the registry stores provenance metadata, and links point to the publisher.
