A fortune estimate like Elon Musk's is too large to feel. Each unit below divides an estimate by one cited reference value: honest arithmetic, deliberately rounded, with the caveats attached. Examples on this page use the current number one.

Comparisons say what a number equals on paper, never what someone could actually buy.

How every comparison works

The formula is division: the central estimate divided by a reference value with a source and an effective date. Counts are rounded to three significant digits and always say "about". When an item's price is an editorial assumption rather than a market fact, the card is labeled that way. Every comparison ignores taxes, fees, supply limits, transaction costs, market impact, and whether the underlying assets could actually be sold.
